FAQS
What brushes are best for my wig?
To keep your wig looking its best, use a soft-bristle brush or a wide-tooth comb — both are gentle and help prevent damage. Always start brushing from the ends and work your way up toward the roots. This technique helps avoid pulling or breakage and keeps the hair smooth and tangle-free.
Also, don't use a small comb as this can pull on the knots.
Are the wigs glueless?
-Lightweight, Flexible Cap Design
Constructed with breathable lace and a stretchable wefted back, the cap molds to your head’s contours, delivering a secure yet comfortable hold that reduces shifting during wear. Together, these features keep glueless wigs secure without adhesives, offering a comfortable, hassle-free alternative to glue or tape.
-Adjustable Elastic Straps
Found at the back of the wig, these elastic straps let you loosen or tighten the fit to suit your head size, helping the wig stay comfortably in place all day.
-Integrated Combs or Clips
Positioned within the wig cap, these combs or clips fasten into your own hair to hold the wig steady and prevent it from moving. If you don’t have natural hair underneath, you can easily remove the combs or clips for a smoother fit.
Personally, i like to remove the clips on my own personal wigs, you can request the clips to be cut out of you wish, but this will then make the wig non-refundable.
Washing your wig.
it depends on how much you wear your wig.
remember, wigs don't need to be washed as often.
I recommend washing 10/12 wears, or when there’s noticeable product buildup If you wear your wig daily or use styling products regularly, you might need to wash it a bit more often.
only use a sulphate free shampoo and conditioner, Sulfate-free shampoos are much gentler on hair and that’s especially important for wigs, which don’t receive natural oils from the scalp like your own hair does.
Sulfates can strip away moisture, leaving the wig dry, brittle, and more prone to tangling or breakage. Using a sulfate-free shampoo helps maintain the softness, shine, and overall health of your wig, helping it look better and last longer.
also avoid using conditioner on the knots as this could loosen them.
Do we bleach our knots?
No, knots are not bleached.
on selected brunettes we have "baby hairs". Baby hairs are bleached at the very front of the hairline so knots are not detectable.
blonde wigs wont need to have bleached knots as the hair is already light.
Why dont you bleach the knots? bleaching the knots can weaken the integrity of your wig. it preserves the strength and longevity.
Bleaching can weaken the hair at the root, making it more prone to shedding over time. By keeping the knots unbleached, the wig remains more durable and lasts longer. Plus, with a bit of makeup if needed, the knots can still blend beautifully for a natural look without compromising the quality of the hair.
wigs are knotted with single knots which make them less detectable.
what products should i use?
For the best results, I always recommend using salon-quality products to care for your wig. These are gentler, more nourishing, and help maintain the softness, shine, and longevity of the hair.
How do i choose the right length wig?
Use a soft measuring tape and begin at the crown of your head, measuring downward to where you’d like the hair to fall. Keep in mind that wig lengths can appear shorter than hair extensions so don't base your wig on the length of extension's.
Can i use heat on my wigs?
Yes — our wigs are made with real human hair, While they can handle heat styling, be mindful: frequent high heat can cause damage and may even alter the colour over time.
The good news? Once styled, your wig should hold its shape for a few days — so go easy on the heat and give it a break when you can!
Do i need to put makeup on my lace top wig?
You don’t have to no, Applying a bit of foundation that matches your skin tone along the lace can help blend it more naturally, creating a smooth and seamless transition between your skin and the wig.
Do i need to wear wig cap under my lacetop wig?
Wig caps are totally optional — it really comes down to personal preference. They can be helpful for keeping your bio hair tucked away neatly and can also provide a smoother, more comfortable base for those with little to no hair, helping to reduce any itching from the wig itself.
We recommend trying your wig both with and without a cap to see what feels best for you.
How long will my wig last?
The lifespan of your wig depends on how often you wear it and how well you care for it. With proper maintenance, a human hair wig can last anywhere from 6 months to over a year — sometimes even longer. If worn daily, you may notice signs of wear sooner. Gentle washing, minimal heat styling, and regular conditioning will help extend its life and keep it looking its best.
